Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is a source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients with healing properties. That is why it is often called ‘miracle tree’ or ‘a tree of second life’ and it belongs to superfoods, the healthiest foods in the world. It contains almost all of the vitamins (4 times more vitamin A than can be found in carrots, 7 times more vitamin C than in oranges, 4 times more vitamin E than in wheat germ, also a source of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B7, D, and K), carotenoids (alfa and beta carotene, lutein, astaxanthin, beta cryptoxanthin), as well as calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, quercetin, kaempferol, beta sitosterol, quinic acid, zeatin and chromium and other micro and macro elements. Moringa is a plant with the highest content of boron (31 mg/100 g). Moringa also has 17 times more of proteins than milk and 2 times more than soya beans and 25 times more iron than spinach, 15 times more potassium than bananas. Moringa also has 26 substances that inhibit inflammation processes as well as fatty acids omega 3, 6 and 9. Moringa also has a high number (46!) of antioxidants making it a plant of the highest number of antioxidants.
In some countries Moringa is known a Moringa oleifera, Drumstick tree, horseradish tree or ben oil tree.
Usage
Moringa sticks is an ideal supplemental food for shrimps. It should be given 2-3 times a week in small quantities.
